Jimmy takes on 3 Peak Challenge in support of mental health charity

On 14 May 2021, Jimmy Hill, Senior Business Analyst Recruitment Consultant at Corecom Consulting, will be taking on the infamous National 3 Peak Challenge, along with four friends. The challenge includes reaching the summit of three of the highest peaks in the UK; Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowden in Wales, within a 24 hour time limit.

This gruelling and testing challenge is all in aim of raising money for Mind Charity, who provide advice and support to those experiencing mental health problems, and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

After the challenges of the last year, The Mental Health Foundation (2021) reported that the percentage of UK adults that had suicidal thoughts and feelings had increased from 8% to 13% since April 2020, and just under one in five of all UK adult population reported feeling hopeless in February 2021.

Jimmy Hill, BA Recruitment Consultant at Corecom said:

“For us, this challenge was born out of the UK wide Lockdown. It has been tough on a lot of us both physically and mentally, so we put our heads together (not literally) and came up with a tough challenge both mentally and physically to raise money for a great charity. Mind seemed like the obvious choice for us as their mantra is ‘We’re here to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone’. A lot of people have been alone this last year and mind provide an excellent service to help those struggling”

With a £1,500 target, the money raised could really help supports Mind’s efforts in supporting those affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic. Please reach into your pockets and donate here to support a very worthy and relevant cause, any donation is greatly appreciated.
